Complexes of Zr (IV) and Cd (II) of substituted 2- pheny-4-carboxy-1, 8- naphthyridine have been prepared. The synthesis is based on the reaction of Zr(NO3)46H2O and Cd(NO3)24H2O with naphthyridine derivatives in absolute ethanol. The structures of the complexes obtained were assigned on the basis of their elemental analysis, molar conductance value and Infrared spectral data.
