A Purchasing, Inventory Model for Different Deteriorations under Permit Delay in Payments and Price Discount
M.Maragatham, G.Gnanavel
Abstract:
This paper deals with an inventory model to determine the optimal cycle time and optimal ordering quantity. Here we believe non-instantaneous deteriorating items. The model for deteriorating items is prepared when the deterioration rate is different during the cycle with permissible delay in payments and price discount. Demand is taken as an exponential part of time. Shortages are allowed. Numerical models are given to illustrate the example.

The inventory model for single vendor and multiple buyers with different deteriorations
M.Maragatham, G.Gnanavel
Abstract:
This paper develops an integrated inventory model consisting of single-vendor and multiple-buyer system. Here we consider two types of buyers. The First type of buyers is using two warehouse inventory system with different deterioration and price discount is allowed for all items. The second type of buyers is returning the unsold items after certain time. The demand function is linear. This model provides an optimal solution for the total annual cost of the vendor and the buyer. The numerical example is provided to illustrate the model.

Characterization of Bamboo, Cotton and Polyester fibres structure and properties
Chandrasekhara S.M., Murugesh Babu, Anusha crispin A
Abstract:
Textile industry is presently finding the alternative green fibres for providing healthy, comfortable, recyclable and biodegradable fibres. Majority of textile fibres are found in natural form such as seed fibres (cotton) or animal hair (wool). Some of the natural fibres are extracted from ligno-cellulosic fibrous plants such as flax, jute, hemp, kenaf, sisal, ramie, coir, and bamboo which are widely used not only for developing products, textile but also used in building materials, animal food, agrochemicals and as a source of bio-polymers and energy.

PERFORMANCE OF T FLIP FLOP USING CMOS 90 nm TECHNOLOGY
Akshay Malhotra, Rajesh Mehra
Abstract:
This paper presents designing T Flip Flop to redue power and area using 90nm Technology. Two designs for T Flip Flop have been proposed namely fully automatic and semi custom. In fully automatic design inbuilt active devices are used along with auto routing and placements. In semi custom design inbuilt active devices are used with optimized manual routing and placement. The proposed schematic in case of fully automatic approach is designed by using DSCH and its equivalent layout is created using microwind. While in the case of semi custom approach optimized layout is created with microwind. It can be observed from the simulated results that power is reduced by 76% and area consumption is improved by 9% in case of semi-custom design as compared to fully automatic design

Sonar System Software and Hardware Development: Fish Finder Application
Sajad Rahmdel, Yung-Ho Yu, Gang-Gyoo Jin
Abstract:
A study of how to develop a sonar system is presented in this paper. A typical sonar system has two sub circuits, namely, transmit path and receive path. On the transmit path, HV (high voltage) pulses are generated and transmitted into the water using a transducer. On the receive path, the echo of the transmitted signal is received. This received signal is then amplified and converted into digital data using an ADC (analog to digital converter). The digital data is then sent to a PC for signal processing. After signal processing, the results are shown in a GUI. The developed GUI also does noise filtering as well as calculating the depth and distance to the detected objects. The proposed sonar system was evaluated in a 1-meter water and a 10-meter shore side water tests. The experiment results were satisfactory and the error in mathematically calculated depth and experimental depth was in acceptable range

THE IMPERATIVES OF OPERATING SYSTEM IN EVERY COMPUTER SYSTEM
UGAH, John Otozi, OSONDU, Stella Ifeoma, NWOSU, Ogochukwu .F.
Abstract:
This paper discusses the necessity of operating system in our computer systems. It explains how operating system is the major tool that enables every computer user interacts with his computer hardware without struggles. It explains abstraction and arbitration as the two major services that operating system renders. It goes further to look at the different views of computer users about the functions of operating system. The study adopted descriptive survey research method. A total number of 86 respondents were used. A structured questionnaire was used for data gathering. The reliability coefficient of the instrument was 0.70 using Cronbach Alpha Coefficient method while two lecturers carried out face validation on the instrument. Two research questions and two hypotheses guided the study. Mean and Standard deviation were used to answer the research questions while t-test statistics were used to test the null hypothesis. It was found out that operating system is essential in every computer system. It was discovered that operating system performs some vital roles starting from aiding booting process to the use of application software and the peripherals of the computer system. The study recommends that every computer user should install an anti-virus on his/her computer as this will help prevent the operating system files from being eaten up by viruses or worms and that system tools such as disk defragmenter, scandisk, and disk cleanup should be used on a routine basis to help fix some hard disk errors that may arise. This will always help to keep the operating system in good shape.

ENHANCING THE VOLTAGE STABILITY OF THE NIGERIAN 330KV 28 BUS POWER NETWORK USING UNIFIED POWER FLOW CONTROLLER (UPFC) AND HIGH VOLTAGE DIRECT CURRENT (HVDC) DURING CONTINGENCY OF THREE PHASES FAULT
IYIDOBI, Jonathan Chijindu, PROF. ENEH, Innocent Ifeanyichukwu
Abstract:
This research project is on the voltage stability enhancement of the Nigeria 330KV Power network using a parallel operation of Capacitor Commutated Converter based High Voltage Direct Current (CCC-HVDC) and Unified Power Flow Controller (UPFC). Power system disturbances caused by loss of generation, faults, switching actions, change in loads etc. lead to various degrees of voltage instabilities. The consequence of voltage instabilities in our Power networks can be severe. This is because it can lead to loss of loads, loss of generation and loss of generator synchronism, under-frequency and ultimately, voltage collapse.

An Eco-Friendly Green Vehicles
Dr. Dharmendra Pratap
Abstract:
A green vehicle or clean vehicle or eco-friendly vehicle or road motor vehicle that produces less harmful impacts to the environment than comparable conventional internal combustion engine vehicles running on gasoline or diesel, or one that uses certain alternative fuels. Presently, in some countries the term is used for any vehicle complying or surpassing the more stringent European emission standard
