importance of the first 1,000 days (from gestation to two years) in helping a child develop
healthy growth is well established. The brain grows very rapidly during the same period;
between three and five years of age its development continues with new abilities building on
those already acquired. Early childhood is a critical time for cognitive, social, and physical
development. For children under the age of five, good nutrition and psychosocial stimulation—
physical and emotional engagement—may be especially important for physical and neurological
growth. Unfortunately, many children under five fail to reach their developmental potential, due
to poverty and the often associated poor nutrition and lack of psychosocial stimulation. Previous
research has shown that nutritional supplements early in life can increase a child’s income as an
adult1
and that encouraging parents to play with their children more can promote greater
emotional and intellectual development.

A Study of child Development : Theoritical and Conceptual Issues
Dr. Kiran Kumari Thakur
Abstract:
Rousseau influenced later writers like Pestalozzi ; and the work of Froebel and
Stanley G. Hall inherited all this theorizing which passed into current educational discussions.
Stanley Hall as the pioneer of the Child Study Movement of America stood hald way between
the philosophic fiction of past conturies and the controlled observations and experiment of the
presnet. Studying children‟s minds and attitudes through questionnaires and reporting his results
in terms of averages and percentages, Hall divined various discrete stage of chold life and
development. Moreover, being influenced by the nineteenth century doctrine of evolution, he
believed that the soul, like the body, obeys the law of recapitulation according to which the
history of individual growth repeats the course of racial development. The essence of the soul, he
writes, “its process of becoming. It is not a fixed, abiding thing, but grows out of antecedent soul
states as different from its present forms, as protoplasm is different from the mature body ........
the soul is a product of heredity.

STUDY ON EFFECT OF ALDRIN AND METACYSTOX IN MONTHLY VARIATION
ON PROTEIN CONTENT IN MYSTUS VITTATUS
NUTAN KUMARI
Abstract:
The monthly variation in the protein in ovary, liver, muscle and blood serum was calculated in
each month and tabulated in Table 1. The table indicates clearly that the level of protein in
ovary, liver and blood serum were recorded high in the presently investigated fish during
mature and spawning phase with their highest peak at the end of spawning phase and minimum
during resting phase, whereas the level of protein in muscle decreased during mature and
spawning phase while it increased during resting phase. Thus it seems logical to assume that the
proteins level of liver remains high alluding that protein reserve of liver is not utilized for the
purpose of spawning while on the contrary there is depletion of muscle protein suggesting that
it is definitely transported from muscle to ovary.
