The digital revolution has changed the methods of information sharing throughout the world. The development of internet and its penetration into the lives of people has made the life easier. Further, with the increasing penetration of mobile phones internet has become an indispensable thing for the modern life. People while using these devices connected through internet are leaving their digital footprints in the form of user data. The Internet of Things (IoT) has further accentuated the generation of data in large quantities. The browsing data of an individual is his own created and has his privacy implications associated with it. Mobile penetration in India is to reach 562 million by the end of 20191. These mobile phone and computers are generating trillions of data every day. This data in turn is being used by the corporates to profile the individuals. We are slowly moving towards an Orwellian state where big brother is having a secret eye on each and every thought and action of ours. After the Supreme Court of India bringing the privacy at the altar of constitutional protection, the data privacy has assumed more significance in current scenario. This data generated online has come to be referred as the new oil of the twenty first century. Considering the value of this new oil, the countries worldwide have begun to provide for legal regulations to tap this new resource. However, the Indian law on the data protection is bit slow to respond than the rest of the world. This paper discusses the Indian law on the data privacy. Download full Length Paper...... | 861-866 |
LEGAL PERSPECTIVE OF EUTHANASIA IN INDIA: A RIGHT TO DIE.
Mamta Kumari
Abstract:
End life of a person by others though on the request of the deceased, is called “euthanasia” or “mercy killin. Passive euthanasia (Good death, easy death, right to die, mercy killing) is one of the major issues developed with progress of human race. Euthanasia has been practiced in most of the countries for more than twenty years and focuses mainly on the fact that patient suffering ought to be prioritized over the patient life. The quality of life shall be taken care of in critically ill patients. Euthanasia is not killing a patient but allowing the critically ill person to end his life on his own wish to die peacefully. This controversial topic is debated because it violates codes of medical ethics and patient care which exists since antiquity. The euthanasia, its types, guidelines for implication in various countries and perspectives in India are discussed in this article.

PROFITABILITY TRENDS IN HINDUSTAN UNILEVER LIMITED-A STUDY
Rupa Yadav, Rupesh Yadav
Abstract:
Profit is the excess of revenues over associated expenses for an activity over a period of time. Profit is the engine that drives the business enterprise (Lord Keynes). It is the indicator of the improved national income, economic progress, and rising standard of living. Every business should earn adequate amount of profits to survive and grow over a long period of time. Profitability means the ability of a firm to generate such profit. No doubt, profit is the legitimate aim of business enterprises, but it should not be over emphasised. Management should try to maximise the profit of the firm by keeping in mind the welfare of the society. Thus, profit is not just the reward to owners but it is also related with the interest of other stakeholders. Profit is the yardstick for judging not only the economic, but also the managerial efficiency and social objectives. The specific objective of this paper is to analyse the profitability of the Hindustan Unilever Limited. So in order to obtain appropriate result the profitability of the HUL has been deeply analyzed using various profitability ratios

A Study Shows the Role of Education in Sustainable Development
Dr. Karan Singh
Abstract:
In recent years, the interest in research concerning Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) has grown considerably. Therefore, a thorough (re)evaluation of this field and its challenges is highly necessary and can help us better understand the diversity of ESD approaches and the ways in which various scholars, countries, institutions, or universities reacted through research and scientific publications to the study of ESD. The development of the field, critical past contributions, emerging trends, and potentially transformative ideas, from different parts and cultures of the world, indicating that publishing on ESD is like a legacy to inter-national efforts to bring this area of inquiry into the mainstream. Finally, the study illustrates two main research directions for the entire time-span: integration of education into sustainable development and of sustainable development into education.

The Religious Politics in India
Sanjay Biswas
Abstract:
The people of India are professing different religions like Hinduism, Islam, Sikhism, Jainism,
Christianity etc. and practicing different religious rites. One of the guiding principles of our
constitution is to follow the path of religious impartiality and tolerance for all religious matters.
Though India was divided into Pakistan and India on the basis of two nation theory, the religious
fervor could not finish because the trail of memories of the partition haunted the minds of people.
There are tensions and suspicions amongst minorities. The clever politicians are playing minority
appeasement card for vote bank. Hindutva politics are gaining momentum. Religious festivals are
celebrated with great enthusiasm and excitement. Religious places are used for political
propaganda and religious sentiments are excited in order to gain political control of the state. The
emergence of religious based political party has threatened the secular character of India. The
communal forces are becoming more powerful and are openly challenging the existence of
liberal thought process of nation. Even secular parties which hasruled India for more than four
decades, has found the idea of scoring quick electoral gains by tampering with secular principles
and institutions too tempting to resist. Political parties seeking to stake out a position as proHindu, or simultaneously pro-Hindu and a protector of the minorities, have given a fillip to
religious politics. This paper shows the how politics is shaped by religion in India.

RIGHT TO EDUCATION - LEGAL SERVICES INDIA
Dr. Parmanand Tripathi
Abstract:
Present Act has its history in the drafting of the Indian constitution at the time of Independence but is
more specifically to the Constitutional Amendment of 2002 that included the Article 21A in the Indian
constitution making Education a fundamental Right. This amendment, however, specified the need for
a legislation to describe the mode of implementation of the same which necessitated the drafting of a
separate Education Bill. It is the 86th amendment in the Indian Constitution. A rough draft of the bill
was prepared in year 2005AD. It caused considerable controversy due to its mandatory provision to
provide 25% reservation for disadvantaged children in private schools. The sub-committee of the
Central Advisory Board of Education which prepared the draft Bill held this provision as a
significant prerequisite for creating a democratic and egalitarian society. Indian Law commission
had initially proposed 50% reservation for disadvantaged students in private schools. The Right of
Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act or Right to Education Act (RTE) is an Act of the
Parliament of India enacted on 4 August 2009, which describes the modalities of the importance of
free and compulsory education for children between the age of 6 to 14 years in India under Article
21A of the Indian Constitution. ‘Compulsory education’ casts an obligation on the appropriate
Government and local authorities to provide and ensure admission, attendance and completion of
elementary education by all children in the 6-14 age group. With this, India has moved forward to a
rights based framework that casts a legal obligation on the Central and State Governments to
implement this fundamental child right as enshrined in the Article 21A of the Constitution, in
accordance with the provisions of the RTE Act.17

PROTECTION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT TO A WOMAN UNDER LIVEIN-RELATIONSHIP
Dr. Suman Lata Chaudhary
Abstract:
Modern society is facing a new concept of martial relation known as live-in-relationship.
Now it has been legalized in the celebrated case of Lata Singh V. State of U.P. (2006) and
affirmed by the Apex court in Indra Sharma v. V.K.V. Sharma (2014). The purpose of
present article is to explain the legal aspects of the live-in-relationship and under what
circumstances such relations may be legally accepted and when such relation will not be
permissible. Now it has become well established principle of Law that any major boy or
girl is free to marry anyone he/she likes or live with anyone he/she likes. It means major
boy or girl have freedom to marry anyone to lead a married life or without marriage have
freedom to live with the desired one. In later condition live-in-relationship arises. It means
two persons of opposite sex living as husband and wife without being married attracts such
relation. The days are not far off when such relation will become common in Indian
society. The moot question of the present article is that whether and under what conditions
a woman living under such relation may claim protection of the Domestic Violence Act,
2005. Relationship in the nature of marriage is very significant element for getting
protection of the D.V. Act. A concubine or mistress cannot claim such protection. The
present work has tried to highlight these aspects in a very lucid manner with the help of
decided cases and aims at public awareness towards legal protection available at present.

agriculture and allied activities for their livelihood. Agriculture in India is exposed to a
number of risk factors like drought, flood, hailstorm, untimely rain, pest and insect attack
and price/market risks. These factors not only endanger the farmer’s livelihood and
income but undermine the variability of the agriculture sector. The Government has come
up with various mechanisms to minimize the risk in agriculture sector like institutional
finance on low interest rate, waived-off loan, minimum support price, soil health cards,
