A Study on factors affecting employee retention adopted by retail sector in India
Dr. Priyank Mishra
Abstract:
In Indian retail sector, it is poised to grow at a compounded annual interest rate of 06% to reach
USD 865 billion by 2023. The organized retail segment that actually occupies a market share of only
7% in 2011 and is expected to reach 10.2 % by 2017-19. Many domestic companies like Reliance,
Tata, Adani enterprise and Bharti have also heavily invested into this sector with a plan for a long
term to expand their business into various cities. The high consumer spending by young population
and also it rises in a disposable income and are driving the retail industry growth over the span of
years. Studies have also been found that the changes in consumer preferences and their lifestyles
have resulted in the expansion of organized retail sector into tier 1 and tier 2 cities which is over the
last decade. The entry of all these many international companies like Wal-mart has brought new
trends in technology in the supply chain management systems which can improve the efficiency of
the retail industry. Although, the retail industry in India is also experiencing a strong growth
prospect, this sector is mired with the obstacles in its way as the industry is also matured in recent
years. The rigid regulations, with high real estate costs, lack of basic infrastructure, high personnel
costs and even presence of unorganized retail shops in the competitive markets are all a few aspects
that actually hurt the growth of new entrants in the industry. It was observed that in recent years,
Government initiatives have increased their foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail sector to 49
percent and 100 percent allowance for the wholesale and retail segment which is showed that this
industry is as poised as for the growth over the next two decades. The supply chain management
systems and the sophistication in the consumer preferences are now open for new avenues for retail
companies to tap into and deliver a very high quality services for the customer delight.

Ethnicity, Language and Process of Nation Building in Assam
Dr. Pranjit Saikia
Abstract:
Language has been the most important marker of identity of an ethnic community or group.
AshutoshVarshney claimed „ethnic‟ groups mean „racial‟ or „linguistic‟ groups.1 Moreover, the
language issue cannot be discussed in aloof from the issues of nationality formation. It was argued
that in the early 19th century nationalism in India has been developing at two levels – one all India,
on the basis of pan-India cultural homogeneities and an anti-imperialism shared in common; and
another regional, on the basis of regional-cultural homogeneities. During that period both the
nationalisms were found intertwined and dovetailed. But in the post-colonial India, it seems that the
later form of nationalism has somehow overshadowed the pan-Indian form nationalism where
language has played a more critical role. Moreover, language has also been one of the most
controversial issues in shaping the political structure of India because violent expression of the
issues had not only influenced the political spectrum in a big way but also forced the central
government to pursue the policy of reorganization of states on the basis language. So, language is
one the central questions of wider socio-political discourse in India. The proposed research paper
will solely revolve around the language issue in Assam. The language question in Assam will be
examine in the context of: a) Rise of ethnic consciousness lead to struggle for power among various
groups in the post-colonial India, and c) Future of India as a viable nation-state in such competitive
atmosphere of interests among various ethnic groups.

Major Applications of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) and Its Health
Impacts: A Critical Study
Sanjeev Saxena, Dr.Satish Kumar
Abstract:
In recent years human life has been exposed to high rates of electromagnetic emissions due to
technological developments, one of the world's most critical issues is the impact of “electromagnetic
radiation (EMR)” on human health. The present paper recognizes potential jeopardy on human health
owing to the exposure of Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR). As human lives are increasingly
encompassed by electromagneticradiations, the risks associated with the same have also ameliorated.
Radiation effects are categorized into two major groups known as “ionization, and non-ionization
radiation.ionization radiation comprising of high energy radiation can affect the atoms in the cells,
altering the normal state the cells and potentially contributing to cancer and other lethal diseases. On the
other hand, non-ionizing radiations are composed of electromagnetic radiation such as “waves of contact,
microwaves, and electricity waves”. This form of radiation cannot alter the composition of the atom; it
only affects the way it can cause irreparable damage.
This article highlights the potential impacts of “Electro-magnet radiation" on human health. It shows
people's health hurdles in regular life practices, which in lifestyle is growing enormous. It alsoaddresses
health mitigation interventions to mitigate health challenges due to exposure to EMR across all age group
worldwide

empowerment evolving into a multi-dimensional social process occurring at multiple strata of the
community; within sociological, psychological and economic dimensions to name a few. What

India’s Policy of Middle East Region
Dr. Ram Pal Saini, Dr. Balram Sharma
Abstract:
The Middle East region has always been the most important region in world geography
because of its oil-gas and geo-strategic factors. India has always pursued a consistent policy
regarding the Middle East region. It is called the equally-distance and equally-balance policy.
The Middle East region has three regional powers. These regional powers are Israel, Iran and
Saudi Arabia. India has been maintained their close relationship with Israel, Iran and Saudi
Arabia. Although, Israel, Iran and Saudi Arabia have not been sharing cordial relationship with
each others. India started its diplomatic relations with Israel in 1992 and bilateral relations are
strengthening in defence and strategic field. India has always been a second largest importer of
Iran oil and Chabhar port provides chance to both countries to strengthening close relationship.
Currently, India-Saudi Arabia relations are moving ahead with the oil trade and both countries
have also come closer on economic and strategic level. It is the need of the hour that there should
be a strong partnership between the two countries so that both countries can fulfil their common
interests. This study tries to explore the rationale behind the India’s policy of Middle East region.

FLOOD HAZARDS IN BURHI GANDAK BASIN IN NORTH BIHAR AND
REMEDIAL MEASURES : A GEOGRAPHICAL STUDY
Mukul Kumar
Abstract:
Drainage system of the region clearly indicates that it has a dense network of the
rivers and its tributaries. Since the river beds have been raised above the flood plain by
depositing vast amount of silts and they flow as elevated channels and they are bound to
overtop their both-side banks. The slope of the region produces turbulence and enables the
streams to discharge heavily in the region. The shallow but narrow courses of the river fail
to cope with the overwhelming value of water rushing down and therefore, turn into
devastating flood after crossing theriver-banks andcreating a submerged scenario far and
wide in the region. The Geography of the earth has, time and again, been altered byfloods
andchanging courses of major rivers systems. However, damage due to floods has tended to
increase with rolling time by varitue of human interference by man is natural process and
encroachment of flood plain zones and even river beds by them”. It means that floods are
the important part and parcel of water resource management. But recently, floods are seen
as one of the worst consequences of the mismanagement of water resources through the

Abstract:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has shifted from research labs to business. Recent surveys
suggest that in the last two years a significant number of organizations have developed AI
applications, and application growth continues today. Many of these technologies are stand-alone
systems, while some are combined with more traditional Ones, such as data processing and
information management systems. Most applications are knowledge-based Expert Systems (ES),
but there are an increasing range of other AI technology applications, such as neural networks,
knowledge-based planning and scheduling systems, speech-synthesis systems, and voice
recognition systems. Given the abundance of technology managers and engineers, they have little

DEVELOPMENT OF BODOLAND MOVEMENT IN ASSAM: IT’S TREND
Saurabh Barman
Abstract:
Historically Bodoland Territorial council was inhabited by the Bodos or Boros. Along with
other parts of Northeast India, regional aspiration in the region reached a turning point in the
1980s. The isolation of the region, its complex socio-economic character, and its backwardness
compared to other parts of the country have all resulted in the complicated set of demands
ranging from demand for autonomy and opposition to „outsiders‟ to movements for secession.
The Plains Tribes Council of Assam (PTCA) had demanded, since its inception in 1967, for a
separate union territory for the Bodo or Boro and other plain tribes to be called Udayachal. With
the failure of PTCA, The All Bodo Students‟ Union (ABSU) allied with National Democratic
Front of Bodoland (Progressive), People‟s Joint Action Commitee for Bodoland movement
which is an amalgamation of over three dozen Bodo organisations and its supporters are
demanding from the Government of India that a separate state be created where significant
numbers of Bodo people live. On the other hand, it is also claimed as a sovereign state
(Complete Independence) by the Separatist group NDFB launched the Bodo Movement in 1987
with the demand for a separate state to be called Bodoland, ending with Bodo Accord of 1993
with the formation of Bodoland Autonomous Council following a further agreement, the Bodo
Territorial Council was formed, with a mission to accomplish development in the area of
economic, education, preservation of land right, linguistic aspiration, socio-culture and ethnic
identity of the Bodos and above all to speed up the infrastructure development of communities in

EMERGENCE OF SMART ASSEMBLY CONCEPT IN MANUFACTURERS AND ITS
ADVANTAGES: A OVERVIEW
BiswajitSen Gupta, Dr. Amit K Srivastav
Abstract:
Some of the most important advantages provided by the smart grid derive from its
capability of improving performance reliability and customers’ responsiveness. The rapid
advancements in ICT solutions and smart metering are well suited to tackling the limitations
above of existing power grids. The conversion of traditional electricity grids into smart grids
ensures productive interactions among energy providers, users, and other stakeholders. The
advent of smart grids has fostered the deployment of smart meters, low-cost sensors and smart
load devices, and the integration of ICTs in residential energy management programs. The
combination of advanced ICTs increases the efficiency of the traditional grid by providing more
automation, a reliable forecast of electrical loads, and a safer operation of electrical appliances,
resulting in a rise in the quality of the energy delivery service and higher overall user
satisfaction.New ICT infrastructures supporting a more efficient smart grid will also include
frequent price updates to follow the evolution of the balance between supply and demand in near
real-time. This article primarily focuses on developing of a main control board prototype and two
Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) on computer and smart phone and to explore the IoT smart

Critical Research
Amit Khare, Dr. K P Yadav
Abstract:
A database management system (DBMS) interface is a user interface that allows
queries to be entered into a database without the use of the query language itself. A DBMS
interface may be a Web client, a local application running on a desktop or even a smartphone
device. Relationships may be of different forms, too. To find out more about E-R Diagrams,

SQL, to respond to queries. A DBMS interface allows data to be queried without the need to use
the query language, which can be complicated. The typical way of doing this is to create some
form showing what kinds of queries users can make. Web-based ways are becoming more
prevalent with MySQL’s growth, but local mobile applications have been the conventional way
to do so. Mobile applications can be created, too. These interfaces provide a more friendly way
to access data, rather than simply using the command line. To identify the Natural Language

Comparative Indian condition effect on pre and
post-digitization
NNK Sandaliya, Dr. Amit K Srivastav
Abstract:
A modern way of doing business is electronic commerce over the Internet. It has the
ability, though just three years old, to fundamentally alter economic practices and the social
climate. It already affects large sectors such as telecommunications, finance and retail (around 30
per cent of GDP in total).Although the Internet predecessor emerged in the late 1960s, with the
advent of the World Wide Web and browsers in the early 1990s and the liberalization of the
telecommunications sector and developments that significantly increased the amount and
capability of communications (optic fibre, wireless subscriber line technologies, satellites),
Internet e-commerce took off. As a result, for both buyers and sellers, barriers to participating in
electronic commerce have increasingly dropped. Today, anybody can become a merchant for a
few thousand dollars and meet millions of customers worldwide. What used to be business-to -
business transactions between known parties has become a complicated network of business
practices that can include large numbers of people who may never meet. In this sense, what
Henry Ford did for the car, the Internet has done for electronic commerce, turning a luxury for
the few into a relatively easy and cheap system for the many. This article assesses the role of
Digitization and E-commerce in Indian Economic Growth (Pre and Post era.) To identify the ecommerce than the developed economies as developing economies have wider scope of reducing
inefficiencies and increase production.

The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) is milestone in the history of
social security legislations in India after independence. This Act for the first time brings the role

challenge as well as the strength of the Act comes from it being given the legitimacy as well as

Globalization and cultural identity is hotly debated in the academy. Subaltern groups and
indigenous peoples are affirming and defending their cultural and social identities in the new
global era. It makes the situation about globalization and cultural identity quite complex. It will
be helpful to look at it analytically. On the one hand, we should understand the globalization
more precisely; on the other hand, we also need to have a clear idea of culture. Only then can we
understand the impact of globalization on cultures. In the process, it will also become clear to us

STUDY ON NOVELIST AS REFORMERAND SPREAD OF THE WESTERN
LOGICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL THOUGHTS
SUPEKAR SHRADDHA NANDKUMAR, DR. NARESH KUMAR
Abstract:
Indian novel in English uncovers that the soul of reform rises out of tolerating the great and
the excellent inherrent in both the interacting societies. The ,youngman alluded to in this
previous extract experiences the limits of visually impaired impersonation of the West. The
comprehension of this angle in the contemporary social life had propelled the novelists to
pass on the thoughts of amalgamation of societies and a reasonable way to deal with the
approaching rushes of progress. They attempted to uncover the disasters existing in the
traditional Indian life just as in the unmeditated impersonation of everything Western.
Simultaneously, they showed the great and delightful perspectives in both the way of life. In
this way, in assuming the part of the reformer, the Indian novelists in English of the
nineteenth century performed a social obligation.
