A STUDY TO ASSESS THE KNOWLEDGE REGARDING THE PREVENTION
OF CERVICAL CANCER AMONG WOMEN’S RESIDING IN KULASEKHARAM
TOWN, KANYAKUMARI DISTRICT, TAMIL NADU
Ms. Swapna
Abstract:
Cervical cancer is a form of cancer that affects the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the
uterus that connects to the vagina. It is caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), a virus
that is generally transmitted through sexual contact. The body’s immune system is known
to prevent the HPV virus from causing any severe harm. However, the virus can survive
for many years, and in some women, it can cause cells of the cervix to become cancerous.
In India, cervical cancer occupies a formidable share of the total cancer cases in women.
Cervical cancer forms 16.5% of the total cancer cases in Indian women and is the second
most common type of cancer amongst women in the country. It is estimated that about 160
million women between the ages of 30 and 59 years are at risk of developing cervical
cancer in India, with 96,922 new cases registered in 2018 alone. Its high time to educate
women about the Prevention of Cervical cancer. The aim of this study is to assess the
knowledge regarding the prevention of cervical cancer among women’s residing in town
Panchayat of TamilNadu.

IN-VITRO STUDY OF SCILLA INDICA (AN INDIAN
MEDICINAL PLANT): THE EFFECT OF DIFFERENT PGRS
ON DIRECT SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS
Dr. Poulami Jana
Abstract:
Leaf explants of Scilla indica were cultured in vitro on modified MS medium. These
explants initiated somatic embryos, which provided a sterile source of secondary somatic
embryos’ explants. The secondary explants responded similarly to various combinations of
plant growth regulators. The number of somatic embryos initiated was increased by the
addition of cytokinins like IBA. BAP, 2iPA or thidiazuron (TDZ) in combination with
naphthalene acetic acid (NAA). 2iPA is the most effective cytokinin in combination with
NAA for direct somatic embryogenesis and their subsequent growth in Scilla indica.
Separate root induction medium was not required because roots are generated in the same
shoot induction medium itself. The plantlets were successfully acclimatized in shade
house.

INFLUENCE OF EXOGENOUS POLYAMINES ON DIRECT
SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS OF SCILLA INDICA AND
URGINEA INDICA: A COMPARATIVE STUDY
DR. POULAMI JANA
Abstract:
The effect of polyamines (putrescine, spermidine, and spermine) was examined for somatic
embryogenesis of two bulbus medicinal plants Scilla indica and Urginea indica Among the
three polyamines tested, Putrescine at low level (0.40 mg l-1
) promoted somatic
embryogenesis (3.06±0.04) and at low level of Spermine (0.25 mg l-1
) promoted shoot
growth (19.15±0.17 mm.) but the growth is not significant in Scilla comparing with the
control on day 30. On the other hand low level of Putrescine (0.25 mg l-1
) promoted shoot
growth significantly (14.40±1.48 mm.) in Urginia after 30 days. Spermidine induced S3
stage whereas spermine induced S2 stage in Scilla. Callusing was found in almost all the
treatments in Urginea but not detected in Scilla. In both the cases root development is
insignificant.

GENERALISED REDUNDANTGIRTH DOMINATION NUMBER AND ITS
CONNECTIVITY OF CORONA GRAPHS
M.Sudalaikannu
Abstract:
A set D⊂V(G ∘ 𝐻) is called a redundant girth dominating set of
Corona graph G if every vertex in V-D is adjacent to at least one
vertex in the girth(cycle) graph of G and N[x]-N[D-x]=∅. The
minimum cardinality of a redundant girth dominating set of G is
called redundant girth domination number of G denoted by 𝛾𝑟𝑔 (G ∘
𝐻).The connectivity 𝜅(G ∘ 𝐻) of a Corona graph G is the minimum
number of vertices whose removal results in a disconnected or trivial
graph.

/G/1 QUEUEING SYSTEM WITH SERVER BREAKDOWN, BERNOULLI
VACATION SCHEDULE UNDER RESTRICTED ADMISSIBILITY POLICY
DR. DEEPA CHAUHAN
Abstract:
In this paper, we analyze a model which deals with the
aspects concerning the control of the arrival process with second
optional repair and Bernoulli vacation schedule. The paper deals with
M
x
/G/1 queueing system where after completion of a service the
server either goes for a vacation of random length with probability
(0 1)
or may continue to serve the next customer with
probability
(1)
, if any. Both service time and vacation time follow
general distribution. Unlike the usual batch arrivals queueing model,
there is restriction over the admissibility of batch arrivals in which
not all the arriving batches are allowed to join the queue at all times.
The restricted admissibility policy differs during a busy period and a
vacation period. We obtain the time dependent probability generating
functions in terms of their Laplace transforms and corresponding
steady state results explicitly.

A STUDY AND COMPARISON OF VEDIC SQUARE AND MULTIPLIER SUTRA
Akshada Bhosale
Abstract:
Square is one of important arithmetic operation. It is used
in various signal processing, data analysis. Square can be
calculated by using multipliers. Booth algorithm,
conventional multiplication and Wallace tree
multiplication algorithms are some of multiplier
algorithm used while design of multiplier. These
algorithms consist of addition of partial products. So,
these algorithms are slow. Dedicated square hardware
may improve computation time and reduce time delay.
Vedic mathematics sutras work on simple principle.
Urdhva-tiryagbhyam sutra (UT) is used for
multiplication. Yavaduman is used for calculating square.
Study of these two sutras and implementation is done
using VHDL. In this seminar, analysis of square
calculation using UT and Yavadunam sutra had
performed.
