Abstract:
Based on Robinsons' (2001) cognition hypothesis and Skehans' (1998) limited attentional capacity model, this study was conducted to examine the effects of task complexity on the accuracy of 25 Iranian EFL learners' essays. Task complexity was manipulated using three variables: (1) +/- few elements; (2) +/- reasoning demand; (3) +/- here-and-now. Accordingly, 25 participants were assigned to three descriptive tasks in two forms (simple vs. complex).

The study examined influence of electronic media resource on students' reading competence at the senior secondary school level, with the aim of ascertaining their readiness for higher education, in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria . The study adopted an ex-post facto research design and used a sample size of 1,090 students. The researchers developed two sets of instruments called Electronic Media Resource Questionnaire (EMRQ) and Reading Competence Test (RCT) for the study.

This paper investigated the impact of agroforestry on household food security. Data were collected by using structured interview schedule administered on 80 farmers that were randomly selected from 10 villages in the study area. Descriptive and inferential statistics such as frequency counts, percentages, tables and mean were used for the analysis and chi-square (X2) was used to test the stated hypothesis.

This paper attempts to analyze the nature and impact of mid-day meal programme on academic achievement of students in some selected upper primary level schools of Burdwan district in West Bengal. The study covers three hundred students (N = 300) both in urban and rural areas encompassing 'Below Poverty Line' (BPL) and 'Above Poverty Line' (APL).The results of Chi-square-test revealed that mid-day meal program has had a significant positive impact in academic achievement of students.
